Press Release For Immediate Release:On March 14th, 2009 the world of professional wrestling suffered a loss as
we Mourned the loss of another Professional Wrestler whom many looked up
to and enjoyed watching his matches. That man was Former World Wrestling
Entertainment & Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling Wrestler Andrew "Test"
Martin Who was 33yrs old and 4 days shy of His 34yr birthday. He was a 2
Time WWF Hardcore Champion, 1 Time European Champion As well as Former WCW
& WWF Tag Team Championship and was Trained by Some of wrestling's great
Including: Bret "The Hitman" Hart & Dory Funk Jr.
So on March 17th, 2009 What would have been Andrew "Test" Martin's 34th
Birthday False Count Pro Wrestling Radio & The Pro Wrestling Highspot
Radio Decided to do two broadcasts and at hour two join them together to
do a wrestler's round table Hosted by: D'Lo Brown and featured: Ron
"Farooq" Simmons, Rosey "Superhero In Training", "The Birdman" Koko B.
Ware & Bull Buchanan. This round table discussed Memory's of test,
Wrestling Deaths in general, What we can do to stop these deaths and More.
Below is a transcript of what took place on the False Count Pro Wrestling
Radio Broadcast Called "Tribute to Test a Celebration of His Life". Which
can be heard Exclusively On http://www.falsecountradio.com
As the chat room begins to fill up 15mins prior to the show People share
their test memory's in the chat room. At 7:00pm Est/4:00pm Pst The
broadcast began As the listeners Hear One of Test's Theme Songs Play. The
Site becomes all to real that we are here Because we lost another
wrestler. Once the Theme song Stops we hear a 10 Bell salute to Andrew
"Test" Martin!
Host "Pacific Coast Player" J.T Evans welcomes everyone to the broadcast
and explains that this is being Played on two different shows. He then
welcomes his co-hosts to the broadcast. He says this tribute show is not
to mourn the loss of "Test" but to celebrate his life. then they begin
talking about how he died four days prior to his 34th birthday and this
show was Aired on his Birthday!
Then it is mentioned that it's always a sad sign in wrestling when you
hear the ever to often sound of the "10 Bell" salute to fallen wrestlers.
Host Alex says that four days ago he had the unfortunate news of "Tests"
Passing and that today was a good day to Celebrate his life. He also says
its a good cause.
JT Evans then talks about Being a Indy Worker and also having the
opportunity to represent "Test" by handling getting him some bookings
through his company(http://www.topnotchbookings.com) and that it hit him
hard when he found it out through a radio show fan. He said that when he
first heard the rumor he called Andrew "Test" Martin's phone and it went
straight to voice mail which was odd from the experiences he had with Him.
He talks about the Press Release his company put out about representing
"Test" which can be read at: http://www.falsecountradio.com, and that many
of Test's Friends and Co-Workers had posted their comments on his passing
which they read off later in the broadcast.
He then Welcomes welcomes Co-Host: "The Juicin" Jobber to the Airwaves and
then Alex R. talks about the different stars that talked about "Test"
Including: Trish Stratus, Kevin Nash, Lance storm & others, He then
mentions how great the overwhelming support is. Alex Shares his memory's
of "Test". He says his favorite episode of raw was where Test Debuted. The
Main Event was Triple H vs The Rock during the match he remembers Triple H
goes for the pedigree and out comes this Tall guy with blonde hair and a
ponytail and you hear Michael Cole announce that's Test from Montley Crues
bodyguard then he joined "The Corporation" where he got great and That
Alex Misses Those days. He also says Test did a good job as a heel, then
he turned face to work as a part of "The Union" Where he would work with
Mankind & Ken Shamrock onto his storyline With Stephanie McMahon.
Alex continues on to share his other favorite Test match was where he
faced Shaen McMahon in a street fight At "Summerslam 1999" what a great
match and one of the best on the card. "The Juicin" Jobber says he also
Loved that match and that Test was towards the top and great at what he
did. He put on great matches and helped build people career. They continue
on and They end up bringing up that In JT Evans opinion Test helped boost
Triple H's career. He then reads Andrew "Test" Martin's last "Myspace
Blog" Which can also be viewed on The False Count Radio Website. During
the blog Test puts over Lance Hoyt. It is Mentioned Test Had recently
worked for Leon "Vader" White in Japan and was Suppose To head over to
Europe for Two Weeks.
At which point a Caller from the Chat room named named "Destruction
Droust" and Told his Favorite Andrew "Test" Martin story. He says Test was
a great wrestler, he remembers him going around during a battle royal(The
immunity Battle Royal) and that he won it so he wouldn't be fired and it
was in 2001. the hosts thank the listener for calling in. They Continue
talking about Tests career and some of his story lines including: The
Un-Americans, T&A W/Trish stratus and how well he did them.
A Caller from the "620" Area code calls in. He Identify's himself as Drew
B. From the false count forums and his favorite match was With the
Un-Americans where they were gonna destroy a Flag and Kane came out to
destroy all them and that he is Devastated by Test's Loss. they remind
listeners that they can call in to pay their respects as well. As the show
continues they Receive more calls and continue to pay their respects to
Test during this time JT Evans almost Breaks down Emotionally over this!
They welcome Co-Host D'Lo Brown to the broadcast and JT Evans fills D'Lo
in on what they have been doing during the broadcast and That D'Lo was
Leading a wrestling round table during Hour Two. JT Evans Reads off Kevin
Nash's comments on Test's passing and then D'Lo Brown takes over and talks
about how hard it hits people in the business even if they didn't know the
guy and that it's a sad day, but we should not be sad we should embrace
what he brought to our lives. They take more callers whom continue to
share their memory's of Andrew "Test" Martin.
Then They answer a call from a blocked Number Which ends up being "The
first ever Black world heavyweight Champion" Ron "Farooq" Simmons. D'Lo
Brown welcomes Ron to the broadcast by giving him a proper Introduction.
Ron says D'Lo cut his introduction short but he will take it. D'Lo asks
Farooq to Share his Test Story's. Farooq tells how he hardly knew Test but
from what he knew he was a very good guy. D'Lo comments that he loves his
Co-Host "The Juicin" Jobbers name to which Ron Simmons says he would have
loved to have been in the ring with him. They Ask Ron Simmons some
questions they had about his affiliation with Test and D'Lo Lightens the
mood a little by asking Ron about his Wrestling Career.
This Continues Till about 50mins into the broadcast where they Thank Ron
for joining the broadcast and then a caller Calls in named Bret Cohen with
a radio show called "World Talk Live" He then proceeds to share his
favorite Test Memory.
They Go to a break where they play Test's theme song once again which they
Dial into the other radio show Known as "The Pro Wrestling Highspot" At
which time they Get The round table members that included: Rosey
"Superhero In Training", "The Birdman" Koko B Ware & Bull Buchanan Sat
down with D'Lo as they discussed The following:
Wrestling Deaths, Memory's of Past Stars, How they can stop the deaths,
Their Test Memory's and Numerous other Topics during this one hour
roundtable. During the Roundtable Rosey "Superhero In Training" Shoots on
promoters for stuff they do wrong including not helping the wrestlers and
ends up talking about how he was ready to fight his neighbor Very
Interesting!
