Wrestlemania picks/preview
Category:
Sports

I’m taking a (Maple) leaf out of Lance Storm’s book and decided to write some thoughts on what I think will go down at this years Wrestlemania.

This isn’t what I want to happen but what I THINK will happen. I do not have any inside knowledge on the finish of any of the matches.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match -Ok, those of us who read the internet know that Jeff Hardy is not in this match but as far as I am aware NOTHING has been mentioned on TV regarding one of WWE’s most over performers not being in this match or on TV. It’s so frustrating!! A BS excuse or even the truth would have done as way of explanation. It exposes the business (although that is probably a moot point) just as much as the times when guys would come back under a different gimmick and we were all supposed to have forgotton when he worked under his old gimmick.

Anyhow, back to the actual match. With no Jeff Hardy the crazy spots will probably be less crazy - Morrison will bump like a human pinball (he is awesome) and Shelton will do some really athletic stuff. I’m tempted to pick CM Punk for this, but I think that Chris Jericho will be this years Mr Money In The Bank. He needs that extra rub to give his return a little more momentum and also pushes him back into the upper - main event bracket.

Big Show vs Floyd Mayweather

This will be a spectacle and I imagine Floyd will get the win but Big Show will do something to get his heat back.

Flair vs Michaels

This will be match of the show, match of the year and possibly match of the decade. They will tell a fantastic story and I think HBK will get the clean win.

The Undertaker vs Edge

Taker will win via DQ, thus keeping his winning streak alive but not claiming the title. I think there is more mileage to be had in an Edge title run and Taker sure doesn’t need a belt to be over or work an angle.

Batista vs Umaga

Batista clean.

John Cena vs Randy Orton vs Triple H

Triple H clean. He’s worked various lower level feuds since his return from injury (Umaga), Cena won the Rumble so the rub from that has to go to Triple H. He’s always best as a face when working off others (Shawn/DK and Evolution) and I expect him to go heel shortly after Wrestlemania too, a direction that he is best at (best heel in the biz).

I think Wrestlemania will be a great spectacle and a very good show.

Let me know your thoughts!!

Trish xx
