NWA UPSTATE ANNOUNCES MATCHES FOR HOLIDAY HANGOVER ON
NOVEMBER 24TH

The next show of Rochester’s NWA Upstate, the sister
fed of NWA Empire, is being held on Saturday evening
November 24, 2007 at Minett Hall, which is located at
2695 East Henrietta Road in Henrietta New York, just
five minutes off the NYS Thruway. The show, being
held just two days after Thanksgiving, is aptly named
Holiday Hangover. Four matches have already been
signed for Holiday Hangover, and if those four matches
were the ones on the card, fans could still walk away
knowing that they had gotten their money’s worth.

In the main event, on the heels of the beating that he
took from “Fabulous” John McChesney (with a little
help from his friends Sterling James Keenan and Star
Rider) in the final match of September’s NWA Upstate
Indy-Tational tournament, NWA Upstate Champion Jimmy
Olsen will be putting the belt on the line against
McChesney. The “X” factor in this match is how Jimmy
Olsen can combat outside interference from the Star
Foundation (Star Rider and Keenan). We’ll need to see
on November 24th if Jimmy Olsen has plan to counteract
the almost guaranteed interference from the Star
Foundation.

TNA Wrestling star Homicide, one-half of the former
NWA World Tag Team Champions LAX, will be in town for
Holiday Hangover, and has drawn a most formidable
opponent. He will be facing NWA Empire and NWA
National Champion Pepper Parks. Homicide is indeed a
big and tough individual, but Pepper Parks possesses
the speed and skill necessary to combat Homicide’s
size advantage.

NWA No-Limits Champion Cheech will face arguably his
toughest title defense to date as he squares of
against “The Master of the Setting Sun,” Gabe Saint.
This match has the potential to steal the show on any
card it’s booked for.

The Ring Crew Express’s Sammy (Kevin) Dunn will be
seeing singles action at Holiday Hangover. His
opponent will be the redneck from Mulletville, Cody
Deaner. This will be Deaner’s first match in NWA
Upstate since he participated in the War Games cage
match at Anniversary Anarchy III back in April.

Colin Olsen will be in singles action at Holiday
hangover against the man that his brother Jimmy
defeated in September to reach the finals of the
Indy-Tational Tournament, the one and only “D2” Danny
Doring. This will be the first time Colin Olsen and
Danny Doring, a former NWA Upstate Champion and a star
of the original ECW, will be meeting in the ring.

In tag team action, the team known as CloudLee, the
recent teaming of “The Right Stuff” Brodie Lee and
former Up in Smoke member Cloudy, will be taking on
the McCloud Brothers. The McClouds have been showing
a great deal of heart and determination in the ring in
recent months, and their recent in-ring performances
have gotten the fans on their side. Evan and Kyle
hope that with the fans behind them they can secure a
victory over CloudLee at Holiday Hangover.

The National Wrestling Alliance presents
“Lucha Libre Libertad/Wrestling Freedom”
Saturday November 10, 2007 – Belltime 7PM
The Hammond Civic Center, Hammond, IN

Official Preview by Marco Nelson

Main Event – Lucha Especial
Blue Demon y LA Park vs. Nicho el Millionario y Super Parka

Four of the biggest names in Lucha Libre history clash in this colossal encounter! The battles between the good and evil Parkas have lit up Mexican auditoriums for years with no signs of stopping. Speaking of things on fire, Nicho’s fireball attack on then partner Blue Demon at the last Wrestling Summit in Las Vegas, has clearly not been forgotten by anyone. This has all the makings of a classic and anyone who makes the mistake of missing “Wrestling Freedom” will sorely regret their decision!

NWA World Heavyweight Title Match
Champion:
“Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce (w/C. Edward Vander Pyle)
Challenger: Sean “Syxx-Pac” Waltman

How time can change things. Adam Pearce’s last appearance in Hammond, IN was a match against Jamie Dundee in front of 37 fans at a local bar. Now, a decade later, he enters the legendary Hammond Civic Center as the Champion of the World with a target on his back that everyone in the NWA is shooting at. On the other side of the ring is a man trying to complete one of the most unlikely yet awe-inspiring comebacks in recent history. Sean Waltman has been written off more times than he can count, yet his 2007 has been nothing short of remarkable. Matches throughout the US and Mexico have proven that this 35 year old, 19-year veteran has finally reached his prime. With his major injuries and personal demons behind him, Sean finds himself one pinfall away from the top of the sport. Waltman and Pearce are no strangers. Waltman won and lost Pearce’s NWA Heritage Title earlier this year and only last month the two battled for the World Title, a match marred by a knee injury to Waltman and interference by Vander Pyle and the Real American Heroes.

Can Sean Waltman complete his miracle comeback by capturing the most prestigious championship in the sport? Or will Chicago native’s Pearce and Vander Pyle make their homecoming a success?

NWA World Tag Team Title Match
Champions:
The Real American Heroes (Karl “Machine Gun” Anderson & Joey Ryan w/Vander Pyle)
Challengers: Los Luchas (Phoenix Star y Zokre)

The most intense feud in the NWA makes its way to Hammond. What started as Mexico vs. America at La Copa De Lucha (now available at bvdvd.com) has become a bloody and brutal series of matches spanning the country. From Las Vegas to Los Angeles to Phoenix to Houston to Orlando and back again, these two teams have engaged in nothing short of total war. Now that Karl Anderson & Joey Ryan are the NWA World Tag Team Champions, the battles have only intensified. We know who will walk in as the champions. Come see who walks out with the gold!

Lucha Special Challenge Matches:
Cassandro vs. Cobra II vs. Rocky Romero
Misterioso y Magno vs. El Dandy y Incognito

The NWA is the only place to find not only legends of Lucha Libre like El Dandy and Misterioso, but also the place to find the top young Lucha superstars anywhere in the world. Cassandro, Incognito, Magno and Cobra II are the future of the sport and among the best pound for pound wrestlers in the world. Rocky Romero is not typically considered a luchador, but his 2 year reign as CMLL’s Super Ligero Champion ranks among the longest title runs anywhere in modern wrestling. This is the action you don’t want to miss.

NWA Midwest Heavyweight Championship
Roughneck Ryan© vs. Metal Master
NWA Heartland States Championship
Rasche the Skullkrusher© vs. Tyler Black

Roughneck and Skullkrusher are not only 2 of the biggest and baddest wrestlers in the MidWest, but they are among two of the top titleholders in the NWA. Both titles will be on the line as rising stars Metal Master and Tyler Black get their shots on the big stage. With the eyes of the NWA watching, who will rise to the challenge?

Special Challenge Match
“Special E” U-Gene Dinsmore vs. Jason Dukes

Fans in Hammond are in for a special treat… a Special E Treat! Since returning to the NWA U-Gene Dinsmore has spread his special brand of fun to fans everywhere. Will Dukes rain on the parade or will U-Gene’s ever-waving hand be raised in victory? Be there to find out and enjoy all the NWA action at “Wrestling Freedom!”
