  • Press Release

speaks out on Teddy Hart…

Former WCW World Tag Team Champion, Mexican legend, & one of the stars of
MTV's Wrestling Society X, Vampiro, was the special guest on this past
week's edition (1/29/07) of Monday Night Mayhem (w/The Big Mosh, Blade, &
The Angry Hero), which can be heard in streaming audio every week (and live
at 9PM ET/8PM CT every Monday night) exclusively on The Monday Night Mayhem
Radio Network (www.MondayNightMayhem.com,  www.ObsessedWithWrestling.com,
www.AllWNYRadio.com,  & www.AudioWrestling.com  -- your official home of "The
Spring Break Incident" Video-On-Demand, featuring former WWE Diva, Stacy
Keibler).

Vampiro's first Mayhem appearance/interview is now available to hear for
FREE in Real Audio!

Here are some of the highlights from the interview conducted by The Big Mosh
& Blade (courtesy: Mayhem listener & official recapper, RaVaGe!):

=============================================================

Vampiro starts off the interview by asking if The Mayhem (as a show, upon
their five-year anniversary) has hit puberty? After Blade responds in
typical Blade fashion, the interview was off & running. Vampiro
congratulated Mosh, Blade, Hero, & the rest of the crew on their
anniversary, and gave the listening audience some big news on his
band...that they will have a new CD out in the next month or so. For more
information on where you can find it, you have to listen in to the entire
January 29th edition of The Mayhem.

The discussion then moved onto Wrestling Society X, and Mosh asked what
everyone’s impression was of the pilot episode (that aired this past Friday
night) that he has talked to personally. Vampiro says that he is been “blown
away” so far, and that about 90% of the feedback has been positive. And
believe it or not, it has been more positive feedback that he honestly
expected. He said that some of the talent they have is "possibly the best
talent in the world," and that they really gave it their all on the shows --
the fans watching it live & on MTV were shocked at how good it was.

Blade said that one of the things that he has heard was that WSX is being
compared a lot to XPW, and followed up with the question of what does
Vampiro think the differences are between the two feds/promotions. Vampiro
says that the letters are different first off. No one laughed (Mosh, Blade,
or Hero) at his joke, and Vampiro said again  “that was a joke,” and still
no one gets it -- that's five years of humor for you. After a little
explanation, Vampiro went on to say that the talent the management, & the
creative team are what set it apart from everyone else. Vampiro says that
some of WSX could even be considered on par with what Vince McMahon is
doing.

Mosh added in that one of the people that is making waves on the internet
scene (again) is WSX's very own, Teddy Hart. On a live interview this past
Saturday night on The Mayhem's sister show, "WTR: Sunday Nights" (heard
exclusively at www.WrestleTalkRadio.com  & www.AudioWrestling.com  every
Sunday night), Teddy said that "he sees the WSX as kind of a feeding system
to the WWE, "and "that when his services are done," he will be going to the
WWE. Mosh asked Vampiro about the comments, and if he thinks Teddy is loyal
to WSX. Vampiro said that his personal & professional opinion on Teddy
different. He believes that Teddy Hart to him is an amazing athlete, and
that he hasn’t seen anyone who can do some of the things that Teddy Hart can
do. He said that when he was Teddy’s age that he was more out of control
than Teddy, so he can kind of see where Teddy is coming from. Vampiro also
added that even though Teddy is from the Hart family, he doesn’t think that
he has put in enough time on the road to get that experience. His attitude
might need to be fixed.

Mosh & Blade asksed Vampiro how much he is looking forward to going
head-to-head with WWE’s "ECW On Sci-Fi "television show on Tuesday nights,
and how exciting/challenging is it to go head-to-head with the WWE? He looks
as it as a true "challenge" to bring WSX to the public and try to make it
worldwide successfully. Vampiro wished to add that the talent in this
generation is incredible (in all promotions & feds), and that it’s an honor
& challenge to be part of Wrestling Society X.

Blade, Hero, & Mosh then asked Vampiro that with his ties with Mexico &
other places overseas, how much of a player does he think that WSX will be
in the overseas markets? Vampiro said that it will indeed "be a major
player." He said that he is negotiating with people in Japan, Mexico, &
other places to bring WSX overseas. Vampiro went on record by saying that it
is his specific goal, besides movies & music, is to do shows with other
promoters, as well as interchanging talent & added television tapings to
bring WSX worldwide to the masses.

We move on to some World Championship Wrestling talk, as The Angry Hero
brought up The Misfits. Hero says that him & Blade are big Misfits fans,
that he read an interview with one of the band members, and then asked what
was the vibe with working with The Misfits. Vampiro said that the idea was
to try & present the Vampiro character slowly. With The Misfits playing in
the area of one of his wrestling shows, he wanted to see if he could get
them to play live during his entrance. Management asked "if those guys could
fight each other," they did some interference, and it got over -- the rest
is history. Vampiro said that one of the guys in the band thought "that
there were no politics in wrestling," that he almost got in trouble a few
times as a result, and that he ruined the deal.

As a parting shot, Vampiro said that he doesn’t have a problem with anything
now, and that his life overseas in wrestling & WSX are doing great. In
closing, he said that he wants to try to improve, do the best he can, & just
try to entertain the fans.

More goodness is included in this 35+ minute interview with Vampiro,
including: his comments on CM Punk's rise to rapid stardom in the WWE & what
he is facing now in the locker room, as well as clearing up the internet
rumors about his heat (past & present) with Konnan, Raven, & Sting. Pretty
interesting comments, but again you have to check out the entire interview
to hear Vampiro at his finest. Will the former member of The Dark Carnival
become a WSX correspondent for The Mayhem, per his request at the end of the
interview? Only time will tell. Stay tuned!
