…..

This was sent to me by Mike, and I wanted to share it with you:

After another meaningless "diva search," we have a winner. Unfortunately I already forgot her name, and most likely will never get to learn it due to the fact that she will probably be released in under six months. That is besides the point.

WWE needs to realize that the days of women on TV just for eye candy are over with. Miss Kitty and the whole "puppy era" is gone! Fans seem to want attractive women who can wrestle and entertain. For a while we were getting that in the form of Molly Holly, Chyna, Sable, Trish Stratus, Victoria and a few others. Doesn't anyone in the back notice that this year's diva contest received hardly any crowd emotion? If there were any, the audience was usually booing. Most of these women in the contest were actresses, models, etc (just check their myspace pages or websites) and didn't even have a clue about professional wrestling. I would be surprised if one of them knew who Wendi Richter or Sensational Sherri was. Which leads me to my next point.....

In the past, each woman in wrestling their own purpose. Women like The Fabulous Moolah, Sherri Martel, Wendi Richter, Rockin' Robin and others were the wrestlers in the ring. They could perform great matches, tell stories and give a great interview. Then there was the manager or valet. Baby Doll, Miss Elizabeth, Missy Hyatt, Debra, and many more were important assets to their wrestler, but did it in a classy way for the most part. They each had their own personality and character which we viewed each week. Do we get to see that now on WWE programing? No! The "divas" are thrown into a bikini and then have a patethic match of sorts like a lingerie pillow fight or something of that nature. Most of these matches are full of blown spots and injuries because half of these divas are NOT wrestlers, they are simply EYECANDY. I rather watch Moolah at who knows how old in there against Mae Young for 30 seconds then Ashley in some idiotic match that will end up in her injuring herself AGAIN for the 40th time.

I hope that one day the WWE will bring back a mixture of valets and women WRESTLERS to television. They do have a few on the roster that can have a good match, like Victoria and Trish and....and....well, that's about it.

Layla El suffered her first official WWE "injury" when she knocked down Todd Grisham and mounted him at the 2006 WWE Diva Search Finals on Wednesday night. Layla reportedy suffered a bruised hand and it was visibly swollen after the show.

I'm listening to your interview now..... I believe the above proves my point haha

Mike also sent me this link to a YouTube funny moment.  It has become one of my favorite places for the golden oldies and special moments.  Check this one out for a good laugh:
