The Castaways Hotel which was once The Showboat Hotel in Las Vegas, NV was imploded yesterday at 7 AM.  The hotel was the home of old AWA TV Tapings in the 80's and even some WCW shows.  Another bit of history gone....
 
Batista's surgery on his right torn triceps muscle will be performed today in Alabama.   Dr. James Andrews had a heart attack over the weekend and was unable to evaluate Batista.  No word on how long Batista will require for rehabilitation after surgery.  WWE.com will keep you updated on Batista's condition as more information becomes available.  Batista surrendered his title on Smackdown which airs tomorrow.

By the way, with Batista dropping the World Heavyweight Championship (not the WWE Title, as that’s the belt which was around Cena now Edge's waist) Batista holds the record for having it 282 days by 2 days, as Hunter's second reign was 280 days (winning it in December of 2002 against HBK, dropping it in September of 2003 to Goldberg).  When it comes to that big gold belt, Hunter has held it 616 days or 50% of the time since its inception in 2002.  Compare that to Jeff Jarrett who's held the NWA title 849 days or 65% of the time since the birth of TNA.  And, Yes, I have way too much free time...
