First I want to apologize for the lack of Chatterbox updates.  I still have the staph infection, that has knocked me off my feet, and to add to that, I got my husband's cold.  UGH!!!
Am going to the Dr. again on Monday, he has to do something to help us feel better.  All I want to do is sleep, and that is not me at all.  I'm lucky if I got 4 hrs sleep a night.  You could tell that by the times I was doing updates.  I just want to feel strong again.  Please keep me and Penny in your prayers.

Wanna try and update all of you my concerned friends...I know you know how unusual this is for me..and believe me, I HATE IT...sure not used to being down..Never dreamed being dehydrated would/could do this to someone...
I got home from my xmas vacation on the 8th...on the 14th was put in the hospital...had my stomcah drained again and was told I was severely dehydrated...I have laryngitis for 2 wks, along w/the dehydration...and my abdomen fills weekly...My appetite is gone......lost 20 lbs...and am so weak, just can hardly move............
So.............I promise when I begin to feel better, I'll let each of you know... meanwhile..thank you for your cards and good wishes...please forgive my not responding...................Penny          xoxoxo

A very good Saturday evening to you guys. A little bit of a different tone from my main e-mails that I normally send, but as some of you may know/some of you may not, my main co-host of many years, Eric "Blade" Haber may have been diagnosed with what is known as Burning Mouth Syndrome -- a very serious, debilitating illness that has no cure. What has caused this has been debated between Eric & his doctors/dentists (everything from taking pain medication for wisdom teeth removal that he had an allergic reaction to/being prescribed anti-inflammatories for that very same dental work that led to this), but this can be a permanent condition that he may have to deal with for the rest of his life -- burning, piercing pain that radiates in your mouth throughout the course of the day...getting worse as the day goes along. The only ways to cope with this are via relaxation techniques, pain/anti-depressant medication, & trying not to be in stress free environments. Eric has been unable to take part in our past two shows, and there is a very good chance depending on how things progress (as since he has other major/more pressing issues to tend to), he may be taking a leave of absence from the show.
 
I consider many of you as both friends & colleagues in our years of The Mayhem, and with one week before our six-year anniversary, I am glad that I can say that with pride. So, I very much ask that all of you please keep Blade in your thoughts & prayers as the days & weeks go on. He has given a lot of time & effort into making Monday Night Mayhem a huge success for many years, and also values the opinions & thoughts of many of you guys/girls.
 
As we close in our six-year anniversary on February 4th, we plan on elevating our senior show correspondent, Darren "Mr. DFL" Szalanski, as a second-co-host to team up with myself until Blade is in the position to come back full-time. DFL has done numerous shows with us in the past, and just like Blade, more or less takes the "fans's perspective" to the program. He has been aboard our staff for close to three+ years now, and we welcome him aboard in this new & expanded role.
 
The show will continue to go on, as that is what Eric is wanting us to do in the process. We are all suffering with this possible diagnosis collectively, but Blade does not want what we have built to this point in time to suffer in any way, shape, or form. By all means, it will not. It is a very hard time for all of us @ The Mayhem, but if you guys would like to send your well-wishes/thoughts to Eric, you can do so to [email protected]. We have even be having some sort of benefit for him as well in the coming weeks ahead...as he has not been to work for two weeks now, and may have to go on disability in the not so near-for-seen-future. Hopefully this will all simply go away in passing however, and be a very bad negative & extended allergic reaction of some kind.
 
I will be in touch with many of you leading into the coming days & weeks ahead, and on behalf of the program, we appreciate your continued support, dedication, & faith. Have an excellent Saturday night...

 Former WWE star Damian Demento ranted on a wrestling promoter for listing him on their website for an upcoming wrestling convention in Carteret, New Jersey (www.legendsofthering.com). He's saying that this is false. He then insults former WWF Light Heavyweight Championship Gillberg for listing his name next to his. He also rants on J.J. Dillon, who's appearing on the show. He said he wouldn't appear on the same show as him because Dillon -- who was a front office worker when he was in the WWF -- threatened Demento with legal action because he was using the trademarked "Damian Demento" name on the indy circuit after he left the company in 1993. Demento concludes the video by saying that he just might show up at the wrestling convention to beat up the promoter. Demento has since removed the video because he's now leaving his videos up for only a short period of time.
