…..

Yesterday seemed like Astoria was hit in a major way.  Transformers were blowing up everywhere.  Power outages throughout our borough.  Last night we lost our cable TV and online modem. So we missed some of the ECW show.  Luckily, we didn't lose power completely, as many other of our neighbors did.  I can't imagine being without the AC in that brutally hot weather.

Mark Henry had successful knee surgery performed by Dr. James Andrews on Tuesday afternoon,  The patella tendon was torn completely off the bone and the patella was split completely in two. It is expected that Mark will be out of action for at least eight months.

Thanks to Bob for link to Hollywood Reporter article on Stacy Keibler working for Disney:
Keibler steps to talent deal at Touchstone
"Dancing With the Stars" finalist Stacy Keibler has inked a talent holding deal with Touchstone TV.

Thanks to Bob for these links:
The former WWE and Dancing diva inks a deal with the alphabet for a new acting gig.   Dancing With the Stars finalist Stacy Keibler has signed a talent-holding deal with Disney's Touchstone TV studio.  Under the pact, the former wrestler will star in a pilot for the studio or will join an existing Touchstone TV series. She met with several networks and studios before signing with Touchstone TV, an ABC sister studio.  Keibler, 27, became a hot commodity following her turn on the second installment of ABC's reality competition Dancing With the Stars, on which she finished third.   She has a background in dancing and was a Baltimore Ravens cheerleader for a couple of years.
