- Matt Capotelli & Mike Mizanin defeated The Highlanders.
WWE Velocity Tapings (Air Date - July 30):
- Frankie Kazarian defeated Funaki.
- WWE Cruiserweight Champion Paul London defeated Nunzio.
- MNM defeated Scotty Sabre & Steve Lee.
- Hardcore Holly defeated Simon Dean.
WWE SmackDown Tapings (Air Date - July 28):
- The show opened with SmackDown GM Teddy Long coming out to announce the main event for SummerSlam when JBL came out. JBL said his contract stipulates that he gets a rematch with Batista and that makes him the #1 contender, not The Undertaker. Long then announces JBL vs. The Undertaker for later tonight with the winner getting a shot at Batista's World Title at SummerSlam.
- Chris Benoit & Booker T defeated Christian & WWE United States Champion Orlando Jordan.
- Backstage, Road Warrior Animal told Heidenreich that it was time for the "next step" and started to shave his hair into a mohawk.
- WWE Tag Team Champions Road Warrior Animal & Heidenreich defeated Chris Hamrick & Chuck Tealy.
- Backstage, MNM announced that they have hired a new publicist. It was WWE developmental diva Jillian Hall of OVW. Hall announced that Melina vs. Torrie Wilson would take place later tonight.
- Rey Mysterio then came out with his son Dominic. Eddie Guerrero came out soon after and said even though he promised not to reveal the secret, he lied. Guerrero revealed that he, not Rey, was Dominic's father. Dominic then left the ring, hopped the railing and left through the crowd. Mysterio chased him down. Guerrero said back when he and his wife were separated, he got a "slut" pregnant and out of the "goodness of his heart" let Rey and his wife adopt Dominic because they couldn't have children. It was played off like more was coming next week.
- Melina w/ Jillian Hall defeated Torrie Wilson w/ Candice Michelle.
- Backstage, The Mexicools are mistaken for concession workers.
- William Regal vs. Scotty 2 Hotty went to a No Contest when The Mexicools came out carrying concession items and then attacked both Regal and Scotty. Psicosis also took out the referee.
- JBL defeated The Undertaker to become the official #1 contender for World Heavyweight Title. The match ended when Randy Orton ran and gave Undertaker an RKO.
Post-Taping Bonus Match:
- World Heavyweight Champion Batista defeated JBL.
