World Wrestling Entertainment® Home Video to release UMD video titles for Sony Playstation Portable (PSP)

STAMFORD, CONN., July 27, 2005 - World Wrestling Entertainment (NYSE: WWE) announced today that WWE® Home Video will begin to release UMD videos for the Playstation Portable (Sony PSP) this September.

WWE will be releasing two top selling DVD titles: "Hard Knocks: The Chris Benoit Story" and "The Monday Night War."  Both titles will include the complete main feature and a limited number of DVD extras.  In addition, the highly anticipated new release titled "The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior" will also be available on the UMD video format.  All three titles will be released September 27 in the U.S. and UK via WWE's European licensee, Clearvision.  Additional UMD releases will be announced in the future.

"We are excited to bring our home video catalog and new release titles to the UMD video format," says Donna Goldsmith, Sr. Vice President of WWE Consumer Products.  "We are constantly looking for new ways to exploit our home video library and take advantage of technological advances."

WWE owns the world's largest library dedicated to wrestling and sports entertainment. It contains footage from historical televised events, as well as the acquired libraries of World Championship Wrestling™ (WCW®), Extreme Championship Wrestling™ (ECW®), American Wrestling Association® (AWA®) and Smokey Mountain Wrestling™ (SMW™), among others.

In fiscal 2005, WWE Home Video released 27 new titles, and sold approximately 2 million units including new releases as well as back catalog titles, with three titles shipping 100,000 units each.  WrestleMania 21, which released in May, has recently topped the 200,000 shipment mark, setting a new milestone for an individual WWE DVD release.

Sony PSP is a hardware system that takes consumers to the next level of portable entertainment.  PSP allows users to play the hottest new games, watch the latest available movies on UMD discs, and listen to their favorite digital music.
