January 12th: We can confirm that WWN VP Of Talent Relations & Creative Gabe Sapolsky has signed a contract as a creative consultant with WWE/NXT. Sapolsky has issued this statement:
“I am beyond excited about what the future will bring,” Sapolsky said. “I need to give my most heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported me on this 24 year journey. I truly wouldn’t be here without you. I never forget that and will always work my hardest to bring you the best product possible. I want to make it clear that I am still committed to doing the same job I have always done for WWN and EVOLVE. I go 100% in everything I do and will never let up. In fact, I feel that 2018 will be the will be biggest year in WWN history with the launch of the Club WWN subscription service at WWNLive.com. I can’t wait for EVOLVE this Saturday and Sunday in New York City. EVOLVE will be the place for talent to make and improve their reputations. It can be new players like Darby Allin, Austin Theory and Priscilla Kelly, who really began getting noticed in 2017. It can be established players like Zack Sabre Jr., who raised his game and staked his claim as being one of the best in the world with his EVOLVE Championship reign, or Keith Lee, who had a rep going into 2017 but became THE MAN in 2017 as a singles star. I am highly anticipating seeing more talent develop up and down the card in 2018. It has the making of a special year.”
January 12th: There are still a couple of spots left in the WWN Creative Seminar this Sunday during Style Battle. It will be hosted by Sapolsky. Go here for info. This is open to anyone involved or interested in the creative side of pro wrestling.

EVOLVE 98 – This Saturday – Queens, NY – La Boom – 6pm – Tickets – Live iPPV
Live iPPV Is 50% Off With Your Free Club WWN Trial!
EVOLVE Championship Match
Zack Sabre Jr. defends vs. Darby Allin
If ZSJ makes it past this month he will be EVOLVE Champion for one year. He has been a dominating champion. Allin has a never say die attitude and has dedicated his life to this opportunity. He also has a special bond with the fans at La Boom. Can he win the big one?
Non-Title Grudge Match
WWN Champion Keith Lee vs. EVOLVE Tag Team Champion Jaka
Catch Point of Jaka, Chris Dickinson & Tracy Williams left Keith Lee down at the last EVOLVE events. Now Lee is looking for revenge against them in singles matches. His first target is Jaka, who is coming off an amazing series of matches vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
FIP World Heavyweight Championship Match – FIP Rules
Austin Theory with Priscilla Kelly defends vs. Fred Yehi
Theory shocked WWN by winning the FIP Championship from Yehi at the last EVOLVE event to end Yehi’s roughly 18 month reign. It was under EVOLVE rules. The rematch will take place this Saturday and it will be under FIP rules, which means there are no rules. Can Yehi win his title back?
Catch Point vs. RingKampf
Tracy Williams & Dom Garrini with Stokely Hathaway vs. Timothy Thatcher & WALTER
This one will be very interesting as Thatcher takes on a team led by his former(?) agent Stokely Hathaway. This Mini-Doc explores what might be going on behind closed doors. This one promises to be a clinic.
Special Attraction Match
Matt Riddle vs. AR Fox
Riddle and Fox both want championship gold. They are two of the best athletes in WWN. Who is your pick to win?
EVOLVE Tag Team Champion Chris Dickinson Has Challenge The End To A Fight!
We don’t know what to expect here, especially after what went down at the last EVOLVE weekend.
Prelim Match – Four Way Freestyle
Jason Kincaid vs. Jarek 1:20 with his lovely assistant Candy Cartwright vs. TBA vs. TBA
This will air live on the WWNLive Facebook at 6pm EST. Kincaid and Jarek 1:20 keep bouncing back and forth from the featured matches and prelims. They both need a win to secure their jobs. Two new top prospects will debut in this match. This is opportunity.
EVOLVE 99 – This Sunday – Brooklyn, NY – St. Finbar Church – 7pm – Tickets – Live iPPV
Live iPPV Is 50% Off With Your Free Club WWN Trial!
Main Event #1 – WWN Championship Match
Keith Lee defends vs. EVOLVE Tag Team Champion Chris Dickinson
Dickinson has been a mainstay in EVOLVE and is a two time tag team champion. Lee wants revenge for the attack at EVOLVE 97, and is willing to put his title on the line to get it. Can Lee get revenge or will this only be a distraction that causes him to lose the championship?
Main Event #2 – Battle Of The Best – Non-Title
EVOLVE Champion Zack Sabre Jr. vs. WALTER
This one is simple. It will be two of the best in the world colliding to see who is the best. No titles. No stakes. No revenge. Just great wrestling. Who will win?
Special Challenge Match #1
EVOLVE Tag Team Champion Jaka vs. Matt Riddle
Riddle has had lingering issues with Catch Point. This Sunday we will finally get Riddle vs. Jaka one-on-one. Both men need the victory here.
Special Challenge Match #2
Fred Yehi vs. Timothy Thatcher
These two collided for the EVOLVE Championship in a classic at EVOLVE 78. Thatcher returns for his first singles match in EVOLVE since August. Yehi needs to get back on track. Can Yehi even the score from EVOLVE 78?
Four Way Freestyle
Darby Allin vs. Austin Theory with Priscilla Kelly vs. Tracy Williams vs. Jason Kincaid
There’s a lot of issues in this one. Kincaid has been trying to “save” Theory. Allin beat Williams at the last event in a three-way. Allin and Theory collided at the last EVOLVE weekend. There is no telling what will happen here!
Plus three prelim matches featuring Shane Mercer, KTB, Jarek 1:20 with Candy Cartwright, Wheeler Yuta and others!
Who will climb up the card and make a name for themselves? Watch at WWNLive Facebook live starting at 7pm EST this Sunday. It should be noted that if Jarek 1:20 wins the Four Way Freestyle at EVOLVE 98, he will switch spots with Kincaid.
January 12th: Thank you for reading today’s WWN Alerts. We hope you will join us either in person or on live iPPV this weekend for EVOLVE and Style Battle. It is only with your support that these events can happen. Thank you for making it all possible. We are all in this together.
