Women’s Steel Cage Match, Russian Chain Match and Balls Mahoney…..

WXW Returns on 12/19 with a convention and show featuring the first ever Women's Steel Cage Match, a Russian Chain Match, Balls Mahoney and more!

Fall Fever broke out as World X-Treme Wrestling returned to the Mountainville Memorial Association Hall in Allentown, Pennsylvania on November 12th in front of a packed house of fans eager for action-packed wrestling.  With eight exciting matches on the card, let’s get straight to a recap of the night’s events:

In the opening match, Nightrain was scheduled to take on the debuting Magnum XL. However, Magnum took a dive between the ropes and landed on the arena floor.  Seeing this, Nightrain asked for more competition.  The enigmatic Dr. Spider was more than willing to oblige.  During the battle, The Purifier watched on as Spider and Nightrain grappled. Magnum eventually recovered and saw a few seconds of ringtime before being on the receiving end of a DDT from Nightrain, who dropped Dr. Spider in the process and scored the win.

Having left the ring after scouting potential stable members, the Purifier returned to manage Toa Maivia in the next match.  Before the bell, CJ O’Doyle ran out and brawled with his opponent on the floor, kicking off the action.   A determined O’Doyle was ready for Toa this time and didn’t let the Purifier get close enough to interfere. CJ pinned Toa after a back-and-forth match, but things got out of hand shortly afterwards. The Purifier slipped his trademark noose around O’Doyle’s neck and tried choking him until WXW Commissioner Sugaa ran in to clear the ring.  Sugaa announced that at the next event in Allentown on December 17th, there would be a rematch between Maivia and O’Doyle: with a noose on a pole above the ring for one wrestler to use on the other.

A trio of champions took to the ring for a six-woman match next.  Women’s Champion Mercedes Martinez and Women’s Tag Team Champions The Big Unit (Cindy Rogers & Alicia) were challenged by the combination of Debbie Sue Moonshiner, Talia, and Melissa Coates.  There was no loss in continuity between The Big Unit, even after Alicia defeated Cindy for the coveted Elite 8 trophy last month.  Six women proved slightly more than the referee could handle as the women eventually paired off and fought each other in and around the ring.  After a little do-se-do action from Debbie Sue and Talia, the Moonshiner took the fight to Martinez and actually pinned the Champion in the center of the ring to the crowd’s delight.

Rob Dimension pulled a fast one in the next match.  Samoan brothers Samu and LA Smooth had prepared for a fight against DJ Hyde and Balls Mahoney, but Dimension made a last minute substitution.  Slugger was brought in to replace DJ Hyde in an attempt to mix things up and catch the opposition off guard.  This was more of a fight than a wrestling match, but there was no shortage of action.  Even the referee got caught up in it all when he unfortunately was headbutted by Balls Mahoney.  Dimension and Slugger used this to their advantage and tied Samu to the ring ropes.  Inside the ring, Mahoney used a chain to choke LA Smooth until referees helped Samu break free to clean house.  The official decision was a disqualification win for the Samoans due to the ref being hit, but Samu wasn’t ready to end things right then and there.  He challenged Dimension to bring Mahoney back to Allentown next month and face him one-on-one in a Russian Chain match!

After intermission, Kris Krude made his WXW debut.  The self-proclaimed “sexiest man in wrestling” said he was promised a title shot and demanded that Commissioner Sugaa give him one.  When “Notorious” played over the PA system, the fans knew that Sugaa had decided to make Cruiserweight Champion Drew Blood face Krude in a title match.  The thing is, Krude is obviously over the weight limit, even though he was announced at only 227 ¼ pounds. Nevertheless, Drew gave it his best efforts to take Krude off his feet.  Drew narrowly escaped defeat a few times, then his tag team partner Devon Moore thought better of the situation and took the referee out of the equation to save Drew again. Drew was disqualified for Devon’s actions and Krude left without the Championship.

The next match had fans on their feet cheering in appreciation and awe of two of WXW’s best talents.  Smooth Tommy Suede and Devon Moore battled for ring supremacy in a fast paced match.  The coverman of WXW’s Extreme Studs DVD release and the most recent Wrestler of the Month pleased the crowd with an intense fury of move after countermove.  Moore stunned Suede by evading the Kryptonite Krunch and was determined to pull off a win.  He caught Tommy with a Canadian Destroyer flip-piledriver and finished him off with his stunning shooting star press.  Suede, who considers himself to be “Mr. WXW” for all he has done in this company, was visibly distressed possibly to the point of being enraged over the loss.

How could WXW top that match?   With a WXW Heavyweight Title match culminating from an intense rivalry, that’s how.  Challenger “Puerto Rican Hurricane” and Champion Bison Bravado has a score to settle ever since their contract signing in September led to a pull-apart brawl.  Their meeting in a match in Mount Carmel turned into a tag team encounter, with Havoc not getting his fair shake at the belt.  When this match happened, both men knew what they had to do if they wanted a win.  Another brawl started outside the ring, but when the combatants went into the ring, Bison tried to finish Havoc off quickly.  Havoc’s never say die attitude led to a barrage of offense on his part and he took home the gold after a spear to the Champion.  New Champion Havoc was congratulated outside the ring by his younger brother, a longtime fan of WXW.  Havoc’s next challenge was announced by Rage TV host Doc Daniels, as a 30-minute Honor Man Match against Sugaa is scheduled for WXW’s return to Allentown on December 17th.

One more feud needed to be settled before the night was through.  Commissioner Sugaa and Rockin Rebel squared off in a steel cage match.  Rebel showed his true colors early on by throwing powder in Sugaa’s eyes as soon as he got into the cage.  The ring-smart Commissioner shook it off after wiping the powder from his eyes with his own bandana.  Talia was also on hand to cheer on Sugaa against the efforts of the Rebel.  A slugfest ensued, with a few narrow escapes from the cage by both participants during the match.  Suddenly, one of Rebel’s Army members, Downtown Mike Brown, arrived at ringside and pulled a ladder from under the ring.  He climbed to the top of the cage and attempted to knock Sugaa back inside, but Sugaa pulled off a superplex from the top of the cage to Brown.  With Brown down and Rebel momentarily incapacitated as well, Sugaa made his way out through the cage door for the win!

Just when fans thought the action was over for the night, Women’s Champion Mercedes Martinez climbed into the cage and challenged Talia to face her in a cage match on December 17th.  Commissioner Sugaa tried to reason with both women but got slapped in the face by Mercedes for his efforts.  Talia tried to get her hands on Mercedes, but would have to wait until December’s cage match, as Martinez left the ring.   Smooth Tommy Suede then unexpectedly entered the cage.  Sugaa turned to face Suede, which left him vulnerable to a low blow from Talia!  After Suede gave the Kryptonite Krunch to Sugaa, he turned to Talia. Their reunion—she once managed him—was very short lived because she then became Suede’s next victim with another Kryptonite Krunch!  “Mr. WXW” Suede left the cage without saying a word, but his actions speak volumes and will not go un-noticed for months to come.  Both Sugaa and Talia had to be helped from the cage by several officials and were seen by attending physician Dr. Frank Romascavage but their conditions are not known at this time.

World X-Treme Wrestling has a stellar lineup planned for Saturday night December 17th.  A convention will also be held earlier that afternoon, beginning at 1pm.  Scheduled so far:
