WXW’s 5th Annual ELITE 8 Women's Tournament, Sat, 10/14 – WXW Arena, Allentown, PA!WXWwrestling.com
World Xtreme Wrestling has always prided ourselves on showcasing the very
best in Pro Wrestling, both male AND female.
Indeed, our Women's division has always set us apart from the pack, as the
hottest AND most skilled female competitors in the sport have all competed
in our ring, and the WXW Women's Championship has been sought after by top
talent far and wide, providing our fans with the unique opportunity to see
the greatest female athletes of today...and tomorrow.
For some, including these tremendous superstars on our events would be fine.
For us, it simply wasn't enough. Why? Because you demanded more! So in 2002,
WXW made history by holding the first-ever ELITE 8. Eight of the most
talented, hard-hitting women in all of wrestling converged in a
single-elimination, one-night tournament. When the smoke cleared, current
TNA/SPIKE TV star TRACY BROOKS emerged victorious.
Many say that Tracy's path to TV stardom began on that night, but the REAL
winners were our fans who, for the first time ever, got to witness 8 great
athletes from all over the U.S and Canada in one place, at one time,
competing for pride, bragging rights, and the knowledge that on that night,
they would be considered the best in the world.
The Elite 8 was an undeniable smash hit, so there was no doubt that it would
become the first of many. In 2003, International Wrestling AND Modeling
Superstar APRIL HUNTER powered her way through an even MORE eclectic field
of 8 to win the trophy. In 2004, homegrown favorite ALERE LITTLE FEATHER
tomahawk-chopped her way into history, and last year saw young veteran
ALICIA defeat her own tag team partner, CINDY ROGERS, to earn top honors.
Along the way, soon-to-be WWE-contracted Superstars like BETH PHOENIX,
KRISSY VAINE and ANGEL WILLIAMS, along with TNA star GAIL KIM, MERCEDES
MARTINEZ, and so many more eagerly rounded out the brackets, hoping to prove
their greatness to the world.
This year, the ELITE 8 returns to the WXW Arena in Allentown, PA on Saturday
night, October 14, and you can be sure that this year's tournament will our
the best yet.
The selection process to determine this year's entrants has been tougher
