'Youth Winter Wrestling Clinic' at Camp IWF Nov 25-27 & Dec 26-28:
5th Annual Program Hosted at West Paterson Wrestling School

(West Paterson, NJ)- The Independent Wrestling Federation hosts the fifth-annual "Youth Winter Wrestling Clinic" for boys and girls ages 12-17 at the Camp IWF Wrestling School, 32 Willow Way, West Paterson, NJ.

Two separate three-day clinics are offered, with Session 1 from Friday, November 25 through Sunday, November 27, 2005; and Session 2 from Monday, December 26 through Wednesday, December 28, 2005.  Daily session time is 10 am to 4 pm.

The program gives kids a taste of what it's like to be a wrestler and gain an insight into the sports-entertainment field.  Campers learn basic moves in a friendly and safe environment under the direction of recent WWE performer Kevin Knight.  Knight is a 10-year ring veteran and Camp IWF head trainer.

"This clinic is a safe way for kids to emulate their favorite stars like The Rock and John Cena," said Knight.  "Now kids can get active this winter, get some good exercise and have fun!"

All campers receive an IWF shirt, free tickets, and there will be appearances by IWF stars.  On the final session day, campers participate in a live exhibition for their families.

This past summer, 15 children participated in the clinic including Rich Shaw of East Windsor, who said, "The slams were the best and I really liked being thrown around on the mat."

Pre-registration is required.  To receive an application or for further information, visit

IWF Wrestlers Conduct 'Food & Clothing Drive' for Red Cross:
Wrestlers Also to Visit Don Imus-WFAN Pediatric Center for Tomorrows Children

(West Paterson, NJ)- In response to the recent hurricanes, the Independent Wrestling Federation is hosting a holiday "Food and Clothing Drive" this month at Camp IWF Wrestling School, West Paterson, NJ.

"Throughout November, clothes and non-perishable foods are being donated by IWF wrestlers and fans in the hopes of making a difference by helping those affected by the recent devastation," said Camp IWF head trainer Kevin Knight.  "Items will be sent to The American Red Cross of Metropolitan NJ in Fairfield, which go directly to disaster relief services."

The Red Cross of Metro NJ is the largest chapter in the state and encompasses Passaic, Essex and West Hudson counties.  Recently, the chapter responded to floods, fires and chemical spills, as each disaster mobilizes volunteers and around-the-clock service.

On Monday, November 28, Knight, Shawn Donavan and other IWF stars make their fifth-annual holiday visit to the Don Imus/WFAN Pediatric Center at the Hackensack University Medical Center, NJ.  They will be making the rounds signing autographs for kids at the Tomorrows Children's Fund.

"TCF is a privately funded, non-profit group that eases the pain and suffering of children fighting cancer or a blood disorder," Knight said.  "They address the critical needs of families facing the anguish of these diseases, provide a loving atmosphere for those in treatment, and fund research."

Since 1990, Don Imus of the Imus in the Morning show has headlined a radiothon on WFAN that has raised $60 million to benefit charities such as TCF, The Imus Ranch and CJ Foundation for SIDS.

The IWF provides a number of services for children, as IWF Centre hosts Birthday Parties for kids, and Field Trips for youth groups and recreation departments.  Camp IWF hosts the fifth-annual "Youth Winter Wrestling Clinic" for boys and girls ages 12-17 from November 25-27 and December 26-28.

On December 10 and 11, from 1-4 pm, the IWF hosts its seventh-annual "Open House Tour Weekend" at Camp IWF Wrestling School, West Paterson.  The function is free to the public.  For IWF information visit
